SLEEP GREEN AODI LOCAL HOTEL
Located in Aodi, New Taipei City, and plans a series of transformation projects for Aodi town, aiming to become a green energy demonstration town. Various energy utilization models are showcased within the area.This area envisions the reuse of rainwater. In addition to ecological ponds, the design focuses on how people interact with nature :
Observing nature in underground houses, Listening to the wind in scenic pavilions, Water observation installations, Strolling and meditating by the lake, cherishing the gifts of nature.
Design Process
Coastal Site Design
The site is located on a wind-exposed coastal edge, where wind-resistant vegetation plays a crucial role. Beyond tolerance to wind, salt, and moisture, planting strategy, spatial arrangement, and species selection are key.
Ecological Strategy
Detailed analysis of local ecology, geology, and tree species informs the most suitable ecological template. Planting considers species, spacing, tree age, and long-term restoration for sustainable ecological recovery.
Design Response
Earthwork proportions are optimized for wind exposure and human-scale perspectives. Ecological ponds and site circulation foster interaction between people and nature, encouraging respect for the environment and framing nature as a gift.
